#AskTheExpert My daughter of 28 days is having cough n cold. please help me to get rid of her cold n cough.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam tinhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives gxmedicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

it is advisable to visit your pediatrician for once.
please give more and more breastfeeds,it will keep your child well hydrated and help your child to fight against such Infection.
give sunlight atleast 20 minutes a day
you can apply warm paste of Turmeric powder and water on chest and back of your child.
