#asktheexpert my daughter is recovering from chest congestion and cold... now this makes her not to eat at all, please advice on how and what i could do to help her eat

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done agynd according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if andy fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .
