#AskTheExpert my daughter is almost six she got DPT vaccine today and after 7:30 she have fever which is not coming down after giving her paracetamol 250 mg

Shaista TarannumMom of a 16 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. you have to give the right dosage of the medicine. otherwise the fever will not come down. you can give paracetamol every 4 to 6 hours under the supervision of your pediatrician. fever after vaccination is common. if it's higher than 102 other neducibe needs to be given. usually not required after vaccination. however monitor the fever and give medicine at regular intervals. if you much then keep cold water cloth on forehead. that is only if fever is high.
