My daughter is 1yr 10months old and she is having fever and cold from 4 days .from day 1 we are using calpol 120. Dose 5ml every 8 hours. There is less fever during day and severe fever during night. At present, she have 100F fever.

Could you please confirm if dose is enough. Weight of the baby is 11.5kg

Cold most of the time is a  viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine  which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor isj done and  accordying to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any  fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours  if required .
