#AskTheExpert My baby was gaining 30 gm per day in first 3 months then gradually reduced to 20 gm per day and now 5.5 at 5 months. Birth weight was 3 kg. Is he underweight now? Can i start food along with feeding๐Ÿ˜“

A. Weight gain in a child is a good indicator for proper health of the child and there should be a regular weight gain as per the age of the child. if there is not a proper weight gain it can be because of many factors and three most important causes are Baby nfot taking enough calories Baby is not absorbing the enough calories which the baby is taking Baby is burning togo many calories . So a proper assessment is very important to know the cause regarding this .

A. Hello dear parent! Your baby seems to be doing fine. It is said to be ideal if the baby doubles its birth weight by 6 months completion and triples by one year completion. Continue breastfeeding your baby well on demand. Regularly massage your baby with Babyhug cold pressed coconut oil.
