Q.

#asktheexpert my baby is having rashes in potty area any remedies for the same. she is facing burning sensation and irritation in that area. please suggest

A. it seems nappy rash...If no loose stools are happening at present, this is a nappy rash. This is common in infants who wear diapers for daily use and without adequate barrier protection. Avoid using diapers daily, use can be limited to night time. Cotton clothes and towels can be used instead Apply candid cream or calamine lotion before putting diaper or cloth nappy. Avoid rubbing excessively while cleaning the affected area.

A. burning sensation and irritation on the anal area you can use coconut oil or rash cream.. keep baby well hydrated.. plenty of water fluid coconut water rice water dal waters, butter milk lassi.. you can give curd daily for good digestion..
