Cold most of the time is a  viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine  which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and  according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any  fever is therhie paracetamol can be given tfo reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours  if required .

You can use nasal clear drops to clean your baby’s nose it is one of the best and you can use it twice a day. You can also give indirect steam with warm water twice a day. Always try to keep your baby in normal room temperature and don’t change the temperature of surroundings frequently
