Keep your baby well-hydrated with breast milk or formula, as fluids help loosen mucus. Use a humidifier in the room to add moisture to the air, and consider saline nasal drops or a saline spray to help clear congestion. You can also gently suction mucus with a bulb syringe if needed. Make sure your baby rests in a slightly elevated position to help with breathing. If symptoms persist or worsen, consult your pediatrician, especially since your baby is premature, for appropriate treatment.
