#AskTheExpert my baby is 9 months ... yet i have not got my monthly periods n hve got ceserean on march 29.when can i get my periods ?

ExpertDr Sheetal AggarwalObstetrician and Gynaecologist4 years agoA. Hi mom if periods have not started after delivery then first of all rule out pregnancy and if negative then plz consult with your doctor for proper evaluation or for withdrawal bleeding

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy4 years agoA. If you are breastfeeding your baby, your periods may not return for several months after childbirth. This is because the hormone that causes you to make milk, prolactin, also stops you from ovulating and having your period. If you are breastfeeding day and night, it can be up to a year before your period returns.
