#AskTheExpert my baby is 16 days old and she has red color rash on face. what is the reson?

A. Better to consult a doctor than applying anything as baby skin is very sensitive. Also, for now you can apply your breast milk on the rash. It should help.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Red Colour Rash over the body if present could be some allergy rashes which may be of sudden onset along with itching.
or it could be viral exanthematous rash where the the onset of rashes is there along with fever or assosiated symptoms. and it could be some infection also which needs proper examination.
Applicatioghn of calamine lotion or Anti itch lotion like Ritch lotion can be done for soothing along with antiallergic medications initially.
