#asktheexpert My baby girl is one month old. She keeps crying when kept in bed but stops as soon as her mother takes her in her lap. My daughter stays awake almost throughout the night. Kindly advise.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. it is very common that during the initial few months the child gets comfortable sleep only in the arms or lap or shoulder of the caretaker and when you shift to bed the child might start crying.d
this is fine and normal and usually improves with age.
you can use swaddling technique as well as cradle sleep to improve the sleep cycle of the child.
