#asktheexpert My baby boy is 8 months old now....his birth weight was 3.73kg...and now is 8.7kg...Is it normal....or the weight should hv been more by 9kg according to weight chart??

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist4 years agoA. Dear mum, weight of 8.7 kg is absolutely normal for 8 months old baby, do not worry. Baby should double the birth weight by 6 months and triple the birth weight by one year.
