Q.

#AskTheExpert my 1 year 11 month old baby having 100 fever I have given her crocin she recovered and then again after 4 hour she is having fever right now 101 ..what can we do right now please suggest

A. Fever is commonly seen in babies and mostly it's viral infection which is very common in children. But if fever is high grade and persisting or assosiated with specific symptoms than other causes should also be ruled out . Antipyretic like paracetamol or ibuprofen or mefenamric acid are usually given to reduce fever . Cold sponging with lukewarm water is also helpful . gr Doctor consultation should be done if symptoms like excessive irritability dullness loss of appetite less urine output is there .

A. It’s a tendency of fever to repeat every 4 to 6 hours have to continue giving medicines after six hour if the temperature is on the higher side I would just say that the temperatures that takes about 48 hours to subside completely so you should wait for that much of a time and continue with theWrite Your Answer Here
