#asktheexpert Is it okay to postpone the vaccination due for a four year old? If so how long?

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Hello, your baby girl is 4 years old and if she is due for her vaccinations but if you want to postpone it then any vaccinations can be delayed by two weeks from due date

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Vaccination needs to be given to child only when the present covid situation becomes favourable and under full safety precautions.if there is any delay it will not have any adverse effect but
mandatory vaccinations specially under one year of age should be given on the priority list followed by. optional vaccine later on .due to strict pandem mhic situation,in such condition most important vaccination should be given on priority which your doctor will decide.
Influenza vaccine should be given to children above 6 months of age in this season if not given to avoid unnecessary hospitalisation and other risk factors because of flu infection.it is repeated after one year as a booster dose.
