Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. meningococcal vaccine is an optional vaccine. it is usually given either at 9 months of age and one year of age as a a 2 dosage regimen or you can go for a single dosage after two years of axge.
your doctor is the best person to tell you whether it is required by your child or not.
my personal advice would be that if you can afford the vaccine you should get the child vaccinated for any disease for which vaccine is available

RashmiMom of a 10 yr 11 m old girl1 Year agoA. You should get the vaccination done if your doctor is advising you to because there are vast number of vaccination Sumz are mandatory and some are options if your doctor suggest you to get it done then you may as well go ahead with what they suggest
