#AskTheExpert I'm 19 weeks pregnant. in last I felt pain when passing urine. Urine test done. It resulted e coli found. Will it serous my pregnancy. will it harm to my fetus? How can recover from e coli?

ExpertDr Priyanka KalraObstetrician and Gynaecologist4 years agoA. see what ever infections we need to give antibiotics as per that. then only you wil be fine. you must try to eat healthy, lots of fruit and stay hydrated. take enough sleep and no stress

if you get this infection frequently then yes it can affect your baby.
so please take necessary medicines as per your doctor prescription.
keep your body well hydrated
wear loose fitting Cotton clothes
maintain good hygiene
