Q.

#asktheexpert I have a 12-day-old baby. I have a good milk supply, but my nipples are not protruding, so my baby can't latch on properly. In the beginning, we used a breast pump to feed my baby, but now she is used to the bottle. She can't adapt to breastfeeding, and when I try to feed her directly from my breast, she cries a lot. When I feed her breast milk with a bottle, she is calm and sleeps well. What can I do to address this issue? Everyone says that once she gets used to latching onto the breast, she will do it properly.

A. Hello dear parent! Few babies have latching issues. Consult a lactation specialist for evaluation and advice. Clarify your concerns and follow your doctor’s advice. Continue to exclusively breastfeed your baby well on demand. Keep Babyhug tummy roll on handy
