Q.

#AskTheExpert I am using pacifier for my one month old. she is crying continuously. she wants something always to soothe her. is it good. can get rid of it easily. she wants her hand to be in mouth . but unfortunately her fingers are not steady yet since she is new born. until that can we use pacifier.?

A. yes can use there is no problem in using pacifier / nipple / teether/ soother if cleaned. the problem arises when it falls down and goes again inside the oral cavity of the child without proper cleaning and sterilization. if it is not cleaned and goes in the oral cavity can cause infection and cough and cold and loose motion

A. hello using the pacifier is usually not a problem when really requires and at this age is usually ok not a problem and make sure to use bpa free pacifier like Babyhug which is safe and not a problem.. but avoid replacing it over the feeed and use only when needed
