#AskTheExpert I am 8 weeks pregnant. I have been detected infected by toxoplasmosis by the value of 0.66 . Now I am starting spiramycin, will this drug cure my infection. Is my baby safe, what are the chances of transmission to baby and symptoms for that?

A. Since the medication is being started at early stage, it is not going to affect the baby. So nothing to worry and just have regular. Follow-up with your doctor. Take medications according to doctor's advice
