#AskTheExpert I am 8 weeks pregnant. I have been detected infected by toxoplasmosis by the value of 0.66 . Now I am starting spiramycin, will this drug cure my infection. Is my baby safe, what are the chances of transmission to baby and symptoms for that?

ExpertDr Laxmi Chavan-SawantAyurvedic Gynaecologist 2 years agoA. Since the medication is being started at early stage, it is not going to affect the baby. So nothing to worry and just have regular. Follow-up with your doctor. Take medications according to doctor's advice
