#AskTheExpert how to save guard the kid from winters..cold amd cough...any advice on medication

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitusgusives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamolu can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Sarika guptaMom of 2 children2 years agoA. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and baby gets cold and cough due to weak immune system and give baby giloy juice and tulsi drops on daily basis in winters for better immune system.
