#AskTheExpert Hi Sir, My baby is sleeping continuously for 5 hours Should I wake her up in middle and feed her or not? My bby is 55 days old and still 2.7kg only

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist3 years agoA. dear mum, there is no need to wake up your baby for feeding. feed as per your baby's demand whenever baby wakes up on own. if baby is active, alert and passing urine more than 7 times in 24 hours then feeding is sufficient. for healthy weight gain, continue to exclusively breastfeed till 6 months complete. At one episode of breast feeding, feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will help in weight gain.
