#AskTheExpert Hi my nephew is gaining more weight then expected. he was born with 2.5 kg weight. Was 3 kg at 1 week and 5 kg at 1 month and 7 kg at 2.5 month. Is it normal?

A. If your child is gaining this weight with only breastfeeding then there is no problem with that because that means the breast feeding of the mother is very good so it should not be a problem in that case and formula feeding is been given to the child is very high but some kids have the tendency to gain weight so check with your doctor one time on this
