Q.

#asktheexpert Hi, My child likes cheese and other dairy products but sometimes she does not drink milk. Dose other dairy products are enough for her, if she doesn't have milk? Thankyou

A. Yes it's ok. Don't force her too much everyday, she might start disliking it completely. So give milk one day and next day give an alternate source of calcium. You can introduce milk in other forms like chapathi, idly or dosa or rice in milk like that. You can give other alternative sources of calcium or other food items which will give the same nutrients as milk like green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouted grains, ragi, soya products etc. Instead of milk yes other dairy products like curd, paneer, butter milk, ghee, butter, cheese will help.
