#AskTheExpert hi doc my daughter is 13 months old and i am a breastfeeding mother..after delivery i have not got my periods yet..is it normal?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy4 years agoA. this phenomena also known as lactational amenorrhea is very common in mothers who are still breastfeeding the child so if you are not experiencing any problem any abdominal pain any discomfort do not worry much about the absence of periods but yes you can always meet your doctor for proper and more information

There is irregularity of periods after delivery due to the hormonal. Breastfeed mothers tend to get periods late. Once u stop breastfeeding the periods will become normal and regular. So no need to worry.
