POOJA KOTHARIExpecting Mom due this month3 months agoA. It’s understandable to feel concerned, but many babies take time to gain weight and show visible signs of health. At 14 months, continue offering a balanced diet with homemade foods like rice, dal, vegetables, fruits, eggs (if non-vegetarian), and full-fat dairy products like curd, paneer, and ghee. Offer meals 3–4 times a day with 1–2 healthy snacks.
You can start cow milk after 12 months, but it should not replace meals. Give a maximum of 400–500 ml per day. Avoid force-feeding; instead, offer food in a playful and stress-free environment. If weight gain is very slow, consult your pediatrician to rule out deficiencies or allergies. With patience and consistent nutrition, improvement will come.
