#asktheexpert hello doctor my baby is 4 months old and she is not passing stools regularly... once in 4 to 5 days.... is it okay...

A. if he is exclusively breastfed then constipation is rare. he will pass stools eventually. do tummy time, cycling motion of legs, do burp properly. if child becomes irritable , not feeding well , then consult your paediatrician. formula fed babies may have constipation. so watch for consistency of stools as well.
