#AskTheExpert Hello doc! i delivered in November last year and got my first period post delivery on January 10th and then on February 8th bt this month i still not get my periods. as i took the pregnancy test it came negative bt still not got my periods. bt the period cramps are on high! plz help!

A. after delivery the periods may remain irregular for about 1 year ,so no need to worry till one year for the periods. till then just maintain a Healthy lifestyle with regular exercise and yoga to maintain health and use proper contraceptive method to avoid unwanted pregnancy

A. Hello dear parent! Irregularities in periods is normal post delivery due to hormonal changes. Consult your doctor for a personal evaluation and advice. Maintain a good personal hygiene and a healthy lifestyle. Good luck and take care
