Q.

#AskTheExpert Dr. Ghouse, my 10 month old boy had recurrent UTI past 3 months. Done MCUG, it showed normal study. Now the doctor has prescribed antibiotics for 6 months. He does not have any infection right now. Could you please let us know the reason being prolonged antibiotics. If not taken what harm will it cause. Thanks.

A. if your child is having recurrent UTI and ifthis report is normal so your doctor has given the antibiotic course for profilaxis so you should continue this and follow the advice given by your doctor
