Q.
#asktheexpert Doctor, My baby 18months old & 10.6kg weight My baby have little bit Cough & Chest congestion, Pediatrician doctor prescribed to my baby Budesonide nebuliser 0.5/2ml, I don't remember what dosage he said, Can i give 2ml at ONCE A DAY.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a hproper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can bje given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
