Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Post vaccination swelling may be a common thing specially after DPT vaccine which may be painful for two or three days and the swelling may remain even up to month so if it is not causing any pain or other symptoms nothinrg to worry.
Swelling can be reduced by giving ice fomenftation locally and paracetamol can be given for fever or pain.
Thrombophobe ointment can be applied in acute pain and swelling .

Nihita mittalMom of a 7 yr 9 m old boy2 years agoA. good morning I would recommend you to please try to be patient for two or three days it is a very common pattern with small children after vaccination that th ey stay troubled for a couple of days
