#askthedoctor My 4 months baby poop 7 to 8 times per day. Sometimes it may comes like foam. I feed only my milk to him. No other foods not yet started. I am worried becauce he only gain 500g per month. Is this OK. Or he need any medicine?

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Hello, your baby boy is 4 months old and he is pooping 7/8 times a day so don’t worry it’s very normal for his age as a cold climates

Foamy stool in babies is often a sign that they are getting an overload of lactose, a sugar found in breast milk. Breast milk consists of two parts: foremilk and hindmilk.
