Avoid distractions during meal times like TV, Laptop, Mobile phones and tablets. Make meal times a pleasant family experience. The family should eat together so that child adopts good and healthy eating habits from parents, grand parents and siblings. Offer his favourite foods along with new foods that you want to introduce in his diet. Let him be a part of meal preparations. For example, setting up the table or choosing the vegetable to be cooked. Kids at this age have a sense of independence. When they are made to choose vegetables or lentils for cooking, they feel as if they have chosen what to eat and might enjoy eating the cooked food. Offer foods on colourful plates.
