after how many days of phototherapy does baby get original skin color

A. Look first of all it’s a very big misconception that parents have their phototherapy changes the colour complexion of the child it’s not corrected usually changes from time of birth and ultimately by the time of 6 to 8 months you’ll know what is going to be the complexion of your child because it is completely dependent upon the genetics of the child

Q. #AskTheExpert hello Dr . my baby has jaundice on his 2nd day of birth.. so Dr. kept him under Phototherapy for 2days. after 2days Dr said this will darken the skin color of baby.. don't worry after 6months the original skin color ll come.. so its true thay phototherapy darken the skin color of my baby. but it's 2months over now. so I wanna know when will my baby's original skin color will come? pls explain Dr.
