9 month baby has fever n cold which medicine can I give

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of some viral infection or allergic condition and symptoms are usually sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion and fever. cough along with throat irritation are usually associated .
Treatment consists of antiallergic antipyretics analgesics and decongestants medicine .
As a home remedy steam inhalation would be very useeful .
Medicines like wikoryl / tminic / Alex cold can be usecd in a proper dose for 3-5 days as per the symptoms .
Steam inhalation is repeated frequently .

Hi You should be giving Calpol or paracetamol to the child whatever is easily available to you as of now because both the medicines are completely safe to be given to the child so whatever is practically available to you or if you were given any medicine to the child previously then you should just go ahead with giving the same medicine to the child for fever also you can do cold sponging if required
