Q.

15 months old boy has fever more than 2 days, we used Crocin. What to do

A. for fever as well as pain kindly give paracetamol according to the weight of child as well as according to the power of paracetamol medicine you are having and paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day and also do body sponge to decrease the surface temperature. also when u take temperature in the armpit of the child and it is 100 or more then only consider it as fever and give paracetamol. higher medicines for fever like ibugesic and mefenamic has to be given only after medical consultation. after giving fever medicines you can wait for maximum 3 days and then meet your doctor if it is not improving. keep the child in cool atmosphere can wait for three days and continue medicines

A. So you can continue for one more day for the medicine if the fever doesn’t subside maximum within completing the time of three days then in that case you can actually go for a blood test because normally the regular fever should not stay for more than three days
