A. At one year of age, a baby boy’s average weight typically ranges between 9 to 11 kg, so your son's weight of 9 kg is within the normal range, though on the lower side. As long as he is active, reaching his milestones, and has a healthy appetite, there’s usually no cause for concern. Giving idli for breakfast is a good and healthy option—it's soft, easy to digest, and provides carbohydrates and some protein. You can make it more nutritious by adding grated vegetables or serving it with curd or dal water. Also, try to offer a variety of foods throughout the day like fruits, boiled eggs, khichdi, dal, rice, vegetables, and snacks like paneer or banana to support healthy weight gain.
