why does 23 days old baby spit up when the feeding is by powder milk?

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. It's normal in newborn to spit out a few amount of milk which can be most commonly due to overfeeding or improper burping. Make sure your are feeding your baby every 2-3 hourly and patting her on back ( for burping) atleast 8-10 min after each feed.Spitting up is a very common occurrence in healthy babies, and usually won't cause any issues in regards to the baby's growth or development. This often happens because the baby's digestive system is so immature, making it easier for their stomach contents to flow back up into the esophagus.
