Q.

When my son was born his Thyroid Stimulating Hormone was 28.1 ulU/ml. Is his TSH level high?? Do we need to re- test? He's 5 months now.

A. The tsh levels are definitely high but if it is usually more than 40 which is used for confirmation of hypothyroidism, and it is advisable to consult your doctor before retesting.
