1. **Infants under 1 year:** Fruit juice should be avoided entirely.
2. **Children aged 1-3 years:** Limit juice intake to no more than 4 ounces (about 120 ml) per day.
3. **Children aged 4-6 years:** Limit juice intake to no more than 4-6 ounces (about 120-180 ml) per day.
4. **Children aged 7-18 years:** Limit juice intake to no more than 8 ounces (about 240 ml) per day.
It is recommended that children consume whole fruits instead of juice whenever possible, as whole fruits provide fiber and other nutrients that are often lost in the juicing process. When juice is given, it should be 100% fruit juice without added sugars.
