Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babies and alfso when initially the semi solid food has been started after 6 gmonths . you can give bonnisan drops and some enzyme preparations in proper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age . Medications are required but it should be given only in medical supervision .

SandhyaMom of a 8 yr 11 m old girl3 years agoA. Hi, newborn babies will pass motion for 2 to 3 times in a day which is common. Make sure to breastfeed once in every two hours and burp your baby well after every feed. And as they grow up then gradually start developing a timing which you will understand. For now it cannot be predicted or managed as they are very small.
