What should be applied after the injection of the child so that its pain can be reduced?

A. hi parent am also suffer this same vaccine swelling problem of my baby ...then I consulted pediatrics he advised for ice cube applying on the swelling area ....take one cotton fabric then put icecube in it and folding then apply for 2minutes for 3 time for perday

A. Post vaccination swelling may be a common thing specially after DPT vaccine which may be painful for two or three days and the swelling may remain even up to month so if it ifys not causing any pain or other symptoms nothing to worry. Swelling can be reduced by giving ice fomentation locally and paracetamol can be given for ffever or pain. Thrombophobe ointment can be applied in acute pain and swelling .

A. Apply ice or a warm compress after the injection. If your arm is sore, ice can help reduce pain and swelling. Some people find heat soothes better because it relaxes the muscle. Either approach is okay.
