Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children3 years agoA. The education system varies a lot with different state and even with different cities. Some schools accept children into lkg(lower kinder garden) only after they complete 4 yrs and above while in some schools they admit 3.5 Yr olds. So u have to consider this and plan accordingly. Also every child is different and you should be knowing well how matured ur kid is. If u think ur kid will be matured enough for prekg then you can admit in prekg at 2.5 yrs or else if u think ur kid may need some more time u can certainly put ur child in play school at 2.5yrs and then prekg at 3.5yrs. There is nothing wrong in delaying one year rather than pushing the child too early when he or she is actually not ready.
