A. I-Pill is used as an emergency contraceptive tablet in the event of unsafe intercourse or failure of contraception, to avoid unintended pregnancy. Within 24-72 hours after having unprotected sex, the emergency contraceptive pill must be taken. It is best to take the pill orally.

Q. Hi doctor , I recently found out that I am 10 weeks pregnant , I had no signs of pregnancy , I had missed my periods and did three pregnancy tests at home all of which were negative so I thought may be periods is getting delayed coz I had two Ipills the previous month. Anyway my doubt is that as I suffer from migrane I might have taken atleast 5 migranil tablets and may be 2 brufen tab during the first 8 weeks of pregnancy. The scan shows normal groth and heartbeat for fetus but I am scared will these tablets affect child's brain development also since it was newyear eve I had couple of drinks as well. Is it safe to keep the baby or should I go for a abortion as I already have a healthy baby and think I should not take a risk? Please advice
