take a clean Cotton clothe
grate an onion on it
make pouch of it
heat the tava, place that pouch on it for few seconds, check with your hands first that pouch should not be too hot
then gently pat it on child's chest back and sole

there are different remedies,you can try any of them:
give turmeric milk with roasted ajwain seeds once in a day.
you may give mixture of honey and ginger in one tsp quantity twice in a day
do hot fomentation
apply Babyhug rapid relief rub on chest and back of your child
