Q.

son aged 2yr 20 days has viral fever since last 5 days and he is under medication. He is not breathing due to mucus. Since then, we didn't give him bath including head bath fearing that it may worsen. Kindly advise if we can give him head bath during fever.

A. can give there is no problem in giving head bath to the child daily also. you have to just take care that you wipe dry the child after the bath. during bath it is advisable to cover the ears properly so that water doesn't go inside the ears. the child should be unclothed and reclothed after bath in a controlled warm environment for which you can use a room heater. it is advisable to use lukewarm water to give a bath at late morning or early afternoon.
