sir, myself dr.baveethrra iam a dentist iam recently affect by hepatitis b,I have a New born baby can i Breastfeed her? I have cracked nipple can i Breastfeed her?or can I express milk and give her my baby is vaccinated

ExpertDr. Garima VermaDentist3 years agoA. hello mam you should get you baby vaccinated. and acc to CDC "Is it safe for the HBV-positive mother to breastfeed if her nipples are cracked and bleeding? Data are insufficient to say yes or no. However, HBV is spread by infected blood. Therefore, if the HBV-positive mother's nipples and/or surrounding areola are cracked and bleeding, she should stop nursing temporarily"
