Yes it is very much safe and it is a very common surgery seen these days with kids further if you have any kind of a doubt take a clarity with the surgeon understand everything for your mental peace and then you proceed with the surgery because as a parents I can understand that you would be very hassle mentally talk to your doctor 1st and understand everything
