Q.

Respected doctor, 10 year old baby light fever and having diarrhea for the past two days onwards. yesterday I have visited pediatric clinic they have given paracetamol drops for three times , cefixem dry syrup bifilec sachets and entrogermina liquid but still having diarrhea and fever .. kindly advise me any alternative medicines and food habits... Thanks in advance

A. hi please do the following things: keep your child well hydrated give Luke warm water with pinch of turmeric powder, salt and Tulsi leaves in 2 tbsp quantity every 4 hours. if there is no cold and cough ,give sponge bath to reduce the temperature. provide natural probiotics like fresh curd buttermilk etc to your child. offer light food like khichdi, curd rice with roasted jeera powder, fruits like apple or pomegranate juice etc to your child. but please don't force feed or overfeed your child maintain good hygiene
