Q.
our five month old baby is not taking breast feed properly, he hardly takes it for 5 mints per feed and is very unstable while taking feed and gets distracted easily. his birth weight was 3.3 kg and weight at completion of 5 months is 6.2 kg. Is it normal please advise what can be done to improve his weight.

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 9 m old boy1 Year agoA. Breastfeed Often Nurse your baby every two to three hours and whenever they show signs of hunger. Don't put your baby on an every three- to four-hour feeding schedule like a formula-fed baby. Since breast milk is more easily digested, breastfed babies need to eat more often.
