Q.

My TSH level is 6.65, is it necessary to start with tablets. Last year my doctor told me u shd start tablets only when ur TSH level is above 10. Plz suggest me shd I take tablets or not.

A. if you are not having any complaints then you can wait and watch because 6 is still not that much high value and is at borderline

A. Actually Sir I m not on treatment, I was taking tablet when I was pregnant. After delivery my TSH level was normal, but last year it was 5.9 and my doctor told dont worry till the level is more than 10. Now its 6.65, due to the pandemic I m not able to visit hospital I have a baby in home. So I posted a question here

A. it is advisable to meet your doctor because doctor will tell you whether the medicine needs to be continued or not and by seeing the levels it is advisable to continue the medicine but take a regular follow up with the doctor

A. hello there ma'am please do not worry about it too much and medicine should be taken if tsh level is on higher side and also it should be properly examine time to time and as per the tsh level medicine should be change. take care
